Adolescents and Young Adults
I have a passion for working with young adults and helping them navigate the complexities and stressors often present in this time period. College, meeting new friends, first jobs, and moving away from family can be an exciting and fun time. Sometimes adolescents and young adults can struggle to integrate and navigate multiples stressors and demands.  My passion for working with this population started when I completed an advanced training opportunity working in a small rural liberal arts college in Minnesota.  I enjoy helping individuals navigate their options and develop a greater sense of their own values, beliefs and goals.
Prior to becoming a Licensed Psychologist, I completed my MBA and worked in various corporate environments. This has allotted me a unique perspective as a therapist, in understanding the pressure and stress that my professional clients face in navigating their business and personal lives.  Whether you are struggling with job interviews, hiring qualified individuals, managing coworkers, employee or manager expectations, time management skills, or achieving quality work life balance, consultation, therapy or coaching can be effective in helping you meet your goals.
Chronic Mental Illness and Crisis Response
A significant portion of my career has been focused on working with individuals that are coping with chronic mental illness, such as Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Personality Disorders, Comorbid Substance Use Disorders, are coping with a mental health crisis or a recent trauma.  I have received extensive training in working with individuals that are coping with a mental health crisis or recent trauma or sexual assault, and helping them identify crisis management techniques, coping skills, navigate resources and better manage their mental health symptoms.  Dealing with a recent trauma, sexual assault, violence or mental health can be an especially hard time, and finding a person that can help you through this scary time can be highly rewarding.
